Four 10-hour days and one 6-hour day is 46 hours. If daily overtime applies to you, that's 8 overtime hours instead of the federal 6.

Things that change the result

  • If you earn at or above 1.5 times the minimum wage, only the weekly 40-hour rule applies. Untick the box in the calculator to see that case.
  • Nevada law allows exceptions, including a mutually agreed schedule of four 10-hour days. Check NRS 608.018 or ask the Labor Commissioner if your schedule might qualify.
  • Overtime is paid on your regular rate, which includes shift differentials and most bonuses. If you earn differentials, use the shift differential calculator to find your overtime rate.
  • Managers and some salaried roles are exempt from overtime. This calculator assumes you are an hourly, non-exempt employee.
